The Conference can be registered for separately. Both events will be organised jointly by Loughborough University,UK and Sofia University Bulgaria under the auspices of the AQDJJ Programme, which is funded by the European Science Foundation
The Summer School aims at reviewing the fundamentals and outlining the research perspectives on the use of these systems which have very complex physics. The Conference aims at presenting the latest research results.
English is the official language.
Ph.D. students and young researchers are encouraged to participate, as well as to submit their work for poster presentation. This will give them the chance of discussing their research with colleagues and outstanding scientists in the field.
The registration fee is 500 Euros (which includes the Conference) or 300 Euros for the Conference alone. The fee includes the cost of accommodation. In many cases the fee may be paid by ESF. Those registering will be informed if they will need to pay the fee themselves. Travel expenses will not be re-imbursed except in exceptional circumstances.
Both the Summer School and Conference will be held at the resort of Kiten near the town of Bourgas (sometimes spelt Burgas), Bulgaria. Kiten is located on the Bulgarian south Black Sea coast. All participants will be accommodated at the St.Kliment Ohridski University Leisure House which is about 250m from Kiten Bus Station and is well-known in Kiten.

Participants are recommended to fly to Bourgas airport which is about 10km outside Bourgas and 70km from the accommodation in Kiten (the airport website provides a map showing the locations of both Bourgas and Kiten). For those who land in the late evening it is best is to change currency at the airport (1 EUR = 2 lv) and take an Airport Service taxi direct to Kiten (N.B. the price should be about 20EUR and it is important to agree this in advance before travelling). Some taxi drivers will accept payment in Euros or US dollars. During the day time, one can take a bus to Bourgas bus station (see the timetable on the Bourgas Airport website) and from there one can take a bus to Kiten.. The accommodation is at the St.Kliment Ohridski University Leisure House which is not more than 250m from Kiten Bus Station. The Leisure House is well-known in Kiten; it is a 13 story building with the St.Kliment Ohridski logo on it and it faces a vegetable market (it is ringed in red on this map of Kiten).
