Background

1st Class (Hons) Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.
Diploma in industrial studies (DIS) from Loughborough University working with Jaguar Cars in the area of combustion research and internal combustion (IC) engine thermodynamic and gas dynamic simulation.
3 month as a visiting researcher at Birmingham University within the Future Power Systems research group working on homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) engine modelling and diesel particulate oxidation modelling.
PhD from Loughborough University investigating novel diesel particulate filtration and regeneration systems.
Worked as a post-doctoral research associate between August 2007  and December 2009 working on advanced IC engine research concepts in areas such as energy, emissions, combustion, thermal management, engine breathing, turbocharging and downsizing of IC engines.
Since January 2010, worked as a Lecturer in Energy Systems at Loughborough University.
