Vision Terms

This list has been produced for students of Vision, Applied Vision, Physiology of the Visual System, and the Environmental Modules that I teach.

Keywords are explained, AND common mistakes that students make (losing marks) are given.  In particular, check out the ones in italics.

The initials (ppt) after a keyword indicate that it is a Powerpoint presentation and the initials (doc) indicate that it is a Word97 document. Otherwise, the pages are written in html.

There is a certain amount of inconsistency, and you may find that I've rambled a bit in places.  This is because I've taken things that I've written in different contexts, and included them here.   This list is constantly being updated on a fairly regular basis, but I'd appreciate feedback as to how it could be improved - grammar, spelling, pictures, or words included.
