Resources

The Expeditions Society has a large and growing collection of information resources and equipment for those planning their own expeditions. See our links page for information sources on the web.

Equipment store

If you are planning an expedition, and your objectives are broadly in line with those of the society, we will consider loaning items from our equipment store. If there is a piece of equipment that you need but we don't currently have, we will consider purchasing it.

The contents of our equipment store are not currently listed on the web, but you are encouraged to contact Tim (President: tmh8@aber.ac.uk) to discuss your requirements.

Library

The contents of our library are listed below. In addition, we have a large number of catalogues and leaflets from various organisations. If there are publications that we do not hold that you would like to use or think we should have, please get in touch with Jeff (Secretary: pss8@aber.ac.uk).You should also contact Jeff if you would like to arrange to borrow items from the library.

The constitution of the Expeditions Society is available for you to read.

A list of organisations making grants for expeditions is available.
