Background

Originally from Egypt (Coptic), I was born in Glasgow and spent my childhood in Sudan and Saudi Arabia.  A Levels completed in Mill Hill School in London.  Studied structural engineering at Cambridge University (Selwyn College), and went on to do a PhD at Stanford University
