Teaching and Administration

Teaching Responsibilities

As an academic, of course have teaching responsibilities. Currently I am responsible for delivering five modules amounting to 90 credits, of which I actually teach 45 credits, plus the MSc project modules. These are:

  • Internal examiner for CVP085 Travel Behaviour and Travel Planning module of MSc in Transport Policy and Business Management and MSc in Sustainable Transport and Travel Planning programmes (20 credits).
  • Co-Lecturer and Internal examiner for CVP093 Transport Policy module of MSc in Transport Policy and Business Management and MSc in Sustainable Transport and Travel Planning programmes (20 credits).
  • Lecturer and Internal examiner for CVC070 Transport Policy module of Part C BSc in Air Transport Management and Transport and Business Management programmes (10 credits).
  • Lecturer and Internal examiner for CVB058 Transport Planning module of Part B BSc in Air Transport Management and Transport and Business Management programmes (10 credits).
  • Co-Lecturer and Internal examiner for CVB067 Road Transport Operations and Technology module of Part A BSc in Air Transport Management and Transport and Business Management programmes (10 credits).
  • Lecturer and Internal examiner for CVA041 Land Passenger Transport Systems module of Part A BSc in Air Transport Management and Transport and Business Management programmes (10 credits).
  • Internal examiner for CVP090 Research Projects and CVP097 Projects modules for MSc in Transport Policy and Business Management and MSc in Sustainable Transport and Travel Planning programmes (60 credits).

It is my intention in the near future to develop a series of web pages that will provide some further (hopefully useful) information to those students undertaking my modules. These will also be available to other interested people.

  • Visiting Lecturer under EU SOCRATES Teaching Exchange Programme, Geography Division, University of Malta, Msida, Malta, April 2007.
  • Visiting Research Fellow, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, July 2005 – September 2005.
  • Visiting Research Fellow, Open University, January 2003 – present day.
