Member of the International Editorial Board for the Photogrammetric Record, the leading International Journal in photogrammetry (Coordinator 2001-2010)

International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS):

Working Group Chair, (V/6: Close range morphological measurement for the earth sciences)
Representative for the UK-ISPRS Committee (since 2001)
Coordinator of the UK Exhibit for Beijing 2008 (Poster).

University Teaching Assessor, since 1999. This involves conducting teaching observations of probationers and academic staff seeking promotion and verifying assessments of teaching portfolios.

Part C Year Tutor, overall responsibility for third year students studying Civil Engineering, including: liason, document production and presenting results at examination boards (2005-todate)

Former Trustee of RICS Education Trust (2005-2011);
Former Chair of the "CIS User Group" at Loughborough University (2006-2009)
