Primary aim of research- to develop and exploit automated methods of digital photogrammetry and geomatics, with particular application to the earth and physical sciences.

 

International impact/roles:
Working Group Chair, (V/6- "Close range morphological measurement for the earth sciences" of the International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), Representative for the UK-ISPRS Committee and Coordinator of the UK Exhibit for Beijing 2008 (Poster).
Member of the International Editorial Board for the Photogrammetric Record, the leading International Journal in photogrammetry (Impact Factor: 0.927) and formerly Vice-Chair of the
Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society;
Fellow of the
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)- Geomatics Faculty
