Session Details:
The 2nd Workshop Intelligent Image Processing and Artificial Vision (IIPAV) at the 2nd International Conference on Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR 2010, http://www.socpar.org/) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners in Image Processing and Artificial Vision.
The goal of the workshop is to serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion on recent and new trends for research in the field. For many real-world vision and imaging problems, the available information is imprecise, uncertain, and/or incomplete, making it difficult to solve these problems. Intelligent systems have demonstrated that they are capable to exploit the tolerance for imprecision, uncertainty, partial truth, and approximation to achieve tractability, robustness, lower cost and better fit with reality. Consequently, the application of intelligent methodologies in image processing and artificial vision has increased over the last few years with many interesting approaches having been introduced. This special session aims to integrate state of the art approaches applying intelligent systems to tackle image processing and artificial vision problems.
We encourage authors to submit original papers as well as preliminary and promising works in the topics of the special session.
The topics for the special session include but are not limited to intelligent techniques such as:
in:
Authors are invited to submit papers through the SoCPaR 2010 web site. Papers are up to 6 pages and must be formatted according to the IEEE Journal format. The Proceedings will be published by Conference Publishing Services. A number of selected high quality papers will be published in special issues of international journals.
