Internationalizing Loughborough Market
Internationalizing Loughborough Market (ILM) is an initiative to make Loughborough ラフバラ Market unique and famous throughout the world. The aims of ILM include:

It is intended that each stall will have dual language signage. A stall will have their signage in English and one other language. eg One stall will have English & Korean, another stall English & Russian, another stall English & Polish ...etc... It is intended to encompass as many languages/scripts as possible.

Teach the stall holders simple words and phrases in their adopted language eg thank you, please ...etc...

Set up each stall with flags and/or bunting that represents the home country of their adopted language.

Produce laminated tickets with original designs and drawings to add extra visual impact.

Transliterate the name of the stall holder into their adopted language/script. The Chinese name I created for Elaine is 爱兰 which translates literally as Loves Orchids. The pinyin form of 爱兰 is aìlán.
