Welcome to the Website!

This site was developed to show the work and research produced by the Department of Design and Technology at Loughborough University during sponsorship from the Nuffield Foundation.

The Nuffield Foundation granted the Department of Design and Technology an Undergraduate Research Bursary that was conducted by Leighan Bleasdale.

Undergraduate Bursaries were created for those considering scientific research as a potential career. They enable students in the middle years of their degree to take part in a defined research project in the summer vacation. The research projects last between six and eight weeks in a wide range of scientific disciplines.
