power-peg

Leaving your mobile phone, MP3 or camera charger plugged in to the electrical socket when you're not using it wastes electricity.

"The amount of electricity wasted from mobile phone chargers left on in the UK alone, is enough to power over 33,000 homes for a whole year!" [1]

The Power-peg, designed by Gilles Belley, eliminates energy waste by automatically cutting off the power supply to any device plugged into it when it has been fully charged. The user does not have to remember to unplug the charger for each device and multiple chargers can be accommodated.
