The Power Conscience concept, designed by Delroy Dennisur, is an
electricity monitor concept which provides the user with real-time data
on their energy usage and calculates their current electric bill. The
minimal white box design is decorated with LEDs in a floral design that
light up in response to the user’s consumption patterns. More flowers
means more power used.
Comments on the Power Conscience:
• “it seems the more power you use, the nice looking the power monitor
looks! Where's the incentive in that?”
• “Rather than have more flowers as you use more power, it would make
more sense to have less flowers”
• “Save power... by having a light show on your wall!”
• “nifty.. but I would just use it to see HOW much power I could really
use.. its more of a challenge then anything else...”
[1].
• “Personally I think the opposite should happen. The florals begin to
recede the more energy you use. A visual reminder to conserve”
